Social Security

Social SecuritySocial Security is the most successful domestic program in American history and by sharing risk among us all it has built a guaranteed retirement safety net for the unfortunate, the poor, working poor, and the middle class.

As our population ages in the coming decades, the need for Social Security will increase. Additionally, rural America is aging faster than the rest of the nation, while its economic growth is slower. According to U.S. Department of Agriculture demographic and income data, no American group has more to lose in Social Security privatization than farmers, ranchers and other rural dwellers. endcap.gif
