Wildlife
It is very important to protect our nation’s wildlife and endangered species. Yet it is important to consider the economic and cultural impact these environmental protections would have on agriculture. The critical habitat designated for threatened species by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services can sometimes infringe upon the property rights of agricultural producers and other landowners. Farmers and ranchers should be compensated through a federal policy that provides meaningful incentives for providing habitat to endangered species.
