Save a Date…..For the DAU Acquisition Community Symposium

The Defense Acquisition University (DAU) will host its annual Acquisition Community Symposium on April 14, 2009 on its Fort Belvoir Campus. This year’s theme explores the vital topic of The Acquisition Workforce Challenge: Winning the War for Talent. The Symposium – through a series of DoD, Congressional and industry speakers, panels and break-out sessions - will examine “How to” best practices and address major human capital challenges facing DoD and defense industry, including recruiting, professional development, and retention. The day long symposium will conclude with a dinner in the evening honoring DAU Hall of Fame inductees, Hirsch Award winners, and the winner of the Alumni Association’s 2009 Acker Award.
Hot Topic Forum Systems Engineering Plan Development January 21, 2009 - 1130-1300 Scott Hall, Hirsch Center
The DAU Alumni Association and the DAU Acquisition Community Connection is co-sponsoring a hot topic forum. The theme of the presentation is: Systems Engineering Plan Development. Ms. Lisa Reuss, OSD Sr. Systems Engineer, Assessment and Support, and Ms. Sharon Vannucci, also from OSD, will give the presentation. Both are reviewers of systems engineering plans for DoD acquisition programs. This no-cost event is part of the DAU Faculty Enrichment Program, but other acquisition professionals from both Government agencies and industry are strongly encouraged to attend.
