Nitrate Broth

Beef extract 3 g
Peptone 5 g
KNO3 (nitrite-free) 1 g
Distilled water 1 liter

 

Dissolve ingredients. Dispense 5 ml portions into 16 x 125 mm tubes. Autoclave 15 min at 121°C. Final pH, 7.0 ± 0.2.
