Homeland Security Threat Level: YELLOW (ELEVATED).

Significant National Weather

Northeast 
The Alberta Clipper that affected parts of the upper Midwest will move into the Northeast, bringing light snow and flurries across much of the region. Snow showers are possible over West Virginia, western and northern Pennsylvania, New York and New England. Strong northwest winds gusting up to 40 mph will occur across New York, the mid-Atlantic and into New England. Highs Sunday will be in the mid to upper 20s and 30s.

Midwest
Light snow will develop across the Dakotas, Minnesota, eastern Nebraska and Iowa with up to 1-2 inches of snow possible. Highs Sunday will range from the 10s across the Upper Midwest to near 60 in southwest Kansas.

South
The South will be dry on Sunday with a storm developing in the central U. S. bringing showers and a few thunderstorms into the south-central states on Monday. Red Flag Warnings are in effect from noon through early evening for portions of central and north Georgia, all of Florida's Big Bend and Panhandle areas; and eastcentral and northeast Florida due to continuing periods of low humidity and northwest winds of 10 to 20 mph, creating critical fire weather conditions.

West
Continuing Pacific storms will bring showers and mountain snow into the Pacific Northwest with light snow in Washington State that will move into the northern Rockies. Showers  and thunderstorms are  possible across portions of Southern California and Arizona. Highs Sunday will range from the 30s and low 40s in Montana to the 60's and low to mid 70s in the Southwest.  (NOAA, National Weather Service and Various Media Sources)
