Dear Alumni,
The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine is one of the finest veterinary colleges in the country. Support from friends and alumni such as you strengthen the quality of all of our programs. Last year, nearly 1,800 alumni became members of the Veterinary Medicine Alumni Society. Your membership allows us to keep you up to date with faculty and student activities and all of the great things happening in the college.
The Alumni Society's mission, "Dedicated to connecting alumni to advance the success of the college and its students," is exemplified through the annual events and student activities sponsored by the Alumni Society. These include the Annual Golf Outing, scheduled for June 4, 2008; the Annual Alumni Reunion Weekend planned for September 5-7, 2008, and alumni receptions at national veterinary meetings. The Alumni Reunion Weekend includes opportunities for continuing education, class reunions, the alumni dinner and auction, the Alumni Society annual meeting, the Dean's State-of-the-College Address and a pre-game tailgate. Proceeds from the auction are distributed to student scholarships, to support College events such as Orientation, and to provide funding for projects to aid the college. Dues help support the White Coat Ceremony for our third year students, the Oath and Hooding ceremony for our new graduates, alumni events and college teaching programs.
Please join the Alumni Society by sending in your dues. Through your generosity, we can support the college in their efforts to continue to produce outstanding graduates from the College of Veterinary Medicine.
Go Bucks,
Robert H. Knapp, MS, DVM ('92)
President, Ohio State Veterinary Medicine Alumni Society
