Small Animal Medicine & Surgery Internship

The Ohio State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital is inviting applications for a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery. Our hospital is staffed and equipped to provide full service for all the small animal specialty services, which include: Internal Medicine (Gastrointestinal, Urinary, Endocrine), Cardiology, Oncology, Ophthamology, Dermatology, Community Practice, Nutrition, Critical Care, Soft Tissue Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Radiology and Anesthesia.

Situated on one of the 'Big Ten' university campuses and as part of The Ohio State University's comprehensive Health Science Center, the College of Veterinary Medicine is well regarded as one of the top veterinary schools in North America. Our caseload is large and diverse and well suited for advanced clinical training.

Objectives of the Program

The internship program is designed to provide successful candidates with a broad but intensive learning experience in various areas of small animal medicine and surgery. The program is designed to prepare individuals for residency training programs, but graduates seeking advanced training and experience prior to beginning practice will also benefit.
