Reports and Studies

The Office of Personnel Management issues an annual report to Congress, giving information about the overall number of teleworkers in the Federal Government as reported by the agencies. This report provides a year-to-year snapshot of Federal telework, which is sometimes augmented by testimony to Congress.

In addition, other agencies have explored various aspects of telework, including assessments from the General Accountability Office, research by the General Services Administration, and security issues as detailed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
