PNC Celebrates Scholarship Evening

The PNC campus celebrated over $112,000 in donated scholarship funds being awarded to students for the 2008-2009 academic year. Donors and student recipients took advantage of an opportunity to meet on September 18 and hear why donors make scholarship gifts and the impact those funds have on student lives. Please select this link to see the full list of scholarship funds awarded. Our sincere thanks go out to the donors who made the scholarships possible and congratulations to the student recipients.

Gift from The George Sugarman Foundation enhances PNC Campus

The George Sugarman Foundation has generously donated sculptures, paintings, works of art on paper and other artwork for display and exhibition on the PNC campus. This donation will form a cornerstone in the collection of art at PNC. George Sugarman (1912 -1999) was an American artist whose first polychrome sculpture was considered extremely radical because each form was painted a different color. In the 1970's he turned to creating large outdoor public sculpture and became interested in making his work user-friendly. He taught at Hunter College in New York from 1960 to 1970.
