Welcome to the Center for Retrovirus Research at The Ohio State University. The center's mission is to facilitate interdisciplinary investigations of problems relating to prevention and treatment of retrovirus diseases of animals and man.

Center members include internationally recognized leaders in the field of retrovirology. Individual research programs focus on:

• Understanding fundamentals of the molecular biology of retroviruses
• Retrovirus pathogenesis and prevention of infection or disease
• Retroviral vector development and application to gene delivery and disease treatment

Specific research details can be found under individual faculty profiles. A major center initiative is the Program Project Grant (PPG), a $9.8 million grant from the National Cancer Institute to investigate retroviral models of cancer.
