SHRP 2 Safety Symposium Presentations Available OnlinePresentations from the second Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP) 2 Safety Symposium are now available online at www.trb.org/shrp2/SHRPII_SymposiumPresentations.asp. Held July 26-27, 2007, in Washington, DC, the symposium drew more than 100 attendees to discuss SHRP 2 safety projects, focusing on work in progress. As authorized under the 2005 Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU), SHRP 2's goal is to develop recommended procedures, practices, and applications to advance the Nation's highway system in the key focus areas of safety, renewal, reliability, and capacity (see December 2006 Focus). The third SHRP 2 Safety Symposium is scheduled for July 17-18, 2008.
