School year and summer internships
The Seattle P-I has unpaid internships for college students who want to work as online reporters, photographers or producers. A minimum of 15 hours a week is required during school year, 20 hours during summer. Students must be enrolled in college and receive course credit for the internship. Interns are expected to know journalism and website basics and be able to commit to a schedule. An automobile may be required (we do reimburse mileage to assignments) and all photographers will be required to provide their own camera equipment.
The deadline for the fall quarter or semester 2008 is Sept. 12, 2008. Deadline for subsequent quarters or semesters is four weeks prior to the start of the quarter or semester.
Only e-mailed applications will be accepted. Work samples should be links to published work or electronic copies.
