2. Progetto Trieste Proficiency Testing Scheme for the analysis of food contaminants and GMOs
   
   Progetto Trieste is a Proficiency Testing Scheme dedicated to the analysis of food contaminants and GMOs.
   
   The programme, organised in conformance with ISO standard, has been running since 1998 in the field of the veterinary drug residues; now Progetto Trieste is to introduce two new analytical fields: GMOs and mycotoxins.
   
   The goal is to create a network of laboratories meeting essential requirements of quality and reliability in food analysis; regarding mycotoxin analytical field, Progetto Trieste presents the following incurred samples:
