Daniel M. Ross
Head Golf Professional & Director of Instruction
Dan is the Head Golf Professional & Director of Instruction at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex. He has been a PGA Member since 1995 and joined the BBGC staff in 2004. He and his wife Luci, a graduate of Purdue, have two children, Ally and Jackson. Dan played his collegiate golf at Taylor University, graduating in 1992.

Dan has been a golf instructor since 1993, when he gave lessons as an Assistant Professional at Harrison Lake Country Club in Columbus.  During his time at Harrison Lake, from 1993-96, Dan taught under PGA Master Professional Tony Clecak.  It was during this time that Dan developed a strong interest in Junior Golf, which has remained a major part of his teaching programs to this day.  From 1997-2003, Dan worked with over 500 students at both Walnut Creek Golf Courses and Edgewood Country Club. In 2004, Dan became the Head PGA Professional at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex, and in 2006 added the title of Director of Instruction.  Each year Dan coordinates and teaches six collegiate level golf classes per semester called, "Golf: For Business and Life".  Dan has worked with over 1,400 students in this class alone.  In 2005, and again in 2007, Dan attended the PGA: Teaching and Coaching Summit.  One of the best parts of going to these Summit's, was realizing the importance of technology with teaching.  Dan utilizes the V1 Video system for those wanting swing analysis. In addition to his teaching expertise, Dan is also proficient in club fitting, specifically brands such as Nike, Ping, and Callaway.

 

   
 Brent Wills
Inside Operations Manager & Assistant Golf Professional
Brent is the Inside Operations Manager and Assistant Golf Professional at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex. Brent joined the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex Staff in 2000 and the professional staff in 2004. As an Assistant Golf Professional, Brent offers private and group instruction to beginner and novice golfers including ladies, seniors and juniors. Brent also assists with golf clinics and Junior Golf Programs at the golf complex along with club fitting and repair services.  As a golf instructor for Purdue University Brent has had the opportunity to provide golf instruction for more than 1,000 students in the courses "Golf: For Business and Life" and "Individual and Dual Movement Forms".
   

 

 Joe Kercheval
Outside Operations Manager & Assistant Golf Professional
Joe Kercheval serves as the Outside Operations Manager & Assistant Golf Professional at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex. He joined the professional staff at the BBGC in the spring of 2006. Prior to that, Joe was the Assistant Professional at the Tippecanoe Country Club in Monticello, IN. Joe played golf all four years at Bethel College in Mishiwaka and graduated in 2005 with a degree in business administration. Currently, in addition to his oversight of outside operations, Joe assists with the Junior Golf Program and Instructional Clinics at the complex. When school is in session, he also teaches “Golf: For Business and Life” for the Health and Kinesiology Department. Other accredidations include attending the Mitchell Golf Company's Club Repair Technician School. With his extensive golf experience and knowledge of golf equipment and repair, Joe's expertise spans from swing instruction to club fitting and everything in between.
   
 
Sara Fetzer
Marketing & Outing Director
Sara is the Marketing & Outing Director for the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex. Sara joined the staff of the BBGC in May 2006. A 2000 graduate of Purdue University, Sara joined the Athletics Staff as the assistant director of promotions and advertising in 2001. Her responsibilities included overseeing all aspects of the marketing and promotions plans for the 18 Purdue varsity sports. Sara also managed an intern staff of over 50 students who brought each athletic event to life through pre-game activities, time out and half time entertainment and contests, as well as post game autograph sessions and meet-the-team festivities. Sara's event experience will make planning your next outing a breeze. Offering full service event planning, all you need to do is find the golfers for your event and everything else is arranged by Sara and the professional staff at the BBGC.
   

 

 Jim Scott
Superintendent
Jim is the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex Superintendent. Jim began construction on the Kampen Course with Pete Dye in 1995 and has continued to improve and maintain the facilities of the Golf Complex.

Kyle is the Associate Superintendent at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex.
