Business incubation at Purdue Research Parks

The Purdue Research Parks’ first business incubator, the Purdue Technology Centers of West Lafayette, has a reputation for graduating high-quality, stable and successful companies. More importantly, even after its client firms leave the incubator, they tend to stay near their “roots” and continue to grow.  The West Lafayette-based Purdue Research Park alone has incubation to thank for 702 new jobs with an overall increase in payroll of more than $36 million from 2003-2007.

With the goal of accelerating business growth, this Purdue Research Foundation-developed incubation model is expanding across the state and, in 2008, its conduit of incubators will include:

Purdue Technology Centers of West Lafayette – 130,645 square feet of incubation space; 113,000 square feet of projected incubation space

Purdue Technology Center of Northwest Indiana – 48,000 square feet of incubation space; 12,000 square feet of projected incubation space

Purdue Technology Center of Southeast Indiana – 18,000 square feet of incubation space

·
Purdue Technology Center of Indianapolis – 55,000 square feet of projected incubation space

Upon completion of these facilities, the Purdue Research Parks will have a statewide network of technology-based business incubators designed to create a dynamic entrepreneurial business environment, to attract high-technology companies and to launch new startups.
