PURDUE CALUMET LIBRARY MISSION STATEMENT
The Purdue University Calumet Library connects students, faculty,
and staff with the information they need to carry out curricular
and scholarly activities; develops in patrons the ability to identify,
access, evaluate, and apply information; and supports the lifelong
learning needs of the people of the Calumet Region
Connecting minds...
with the rest of the world. Helping students learn strategies
and skills for locating information and using it effectively for
class work.
The Reference Desk...
is the place for students to begin their research. The Library
faculty, staff and student assistants are here to help students learn in today's
complex environment.
A Haven for Learning...
the Library's learning environment includes such amenities as an
electronic classroom, study rooms for group projects, leisure
seating for quiet conversation, and individual carrels for quiet
study.
A Place to Meet...
open 75 hours per week, the Library is located on the second floor
of the Student Union and Library. The Library's collections
include over 250,000 volumes, 1,100 journal subscriptions and over
1,200 electronic journals.
