The Office of International Students & Scholars (ISS) provides a variety of specific services to campus offices and departments. One of our most important services relates to the procedures and processes related to hiring international faculty and staff. While ISS does not determine employment eligibility, we assist hiring departments and offices to understand and follow U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS formerly INS) and Department of Labor (DOL) regulations and procedures required to obtain appropriate and timely visa status for international scholars.

ISS also provides assistance to departments that admit international graduate and professional students to their respective academic programs. ISS issues an immigration document to prospective students who indicate that they intend to matriculate at the University.

A variety of other services are also available to the campus community, including, but not limited to translation/ interpretation services, cross-cultural training programs, and workshops for hiring international faculty and staff.
