IPFW Dental Clinics Open for Spring Semester

(Fort Wayne, Jan. 13, 2009) -- Add some sparkle to your pearly whites at the Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) Dental Clinics. The two clinics, located on the IPFW campus in Neff Hall, room 109 and 2700 S. Lafayette Street, are now open for the spring semester and accepting appointments.

For an appointment, call the IPFW Dental Clinic at 260-481-6575 and the Lafayette Street Dental Clinic at 260-744-1188. Visit www.ipfw.edu/dental and click on the Dental Hygiene Clinics for the clinics' hours. Both are open to the public. Please plan a four-hour time block for your appointment because the clinics are educational facilities and all preventative dental services are completed by IPFW students and supervised by dentists and licensed dental faculty.

The clinics offer low-cost, high-quality preventative dental services such as cleanings, fluoride treatments, X-rays, sealants, and whitening products. Cleanings starts at just $27 for those under 12 and $37 for those 13 year and older. The clinics are sponsored by the IPFW Department of Dental Education within the College of Health and Human Services.

For more information, visit www.ipfw.edu/dental and click on the Dental Hygiene Clinics link or contact Connie Kracher, dental education chair, 260-481-6837 or dental_education@ipfw.edu.
