Investors
The investor of today does not profit from yesterday's growth. — Warren Buffett
Investors looking for strong prospects in the areas of biomedical devices; technologies with homeland security applications; cutting-edge software; and advanced manufacturing-related innovations will want to browse through Purdue Research Park’s companies and the Office of Technology Commercialization’s available technologies database.
From there, you’ll be directed to our business development team and learn about potential investment opportunities. Purdue Research Park and its satellite incubators feature companies funded primarily with venture capital, firms that have tapped into Indiana’s angel investor community with great results, and very early-stage companies and/or technologies that are ready for financial backing now.
To be eligible to invest in the companies built around Purdue-licensed technologies, you must be considered an accredited investor as defined by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Does your net worth (or joint net worth with your spouse) exceed $1,000,000 or do you have an individual income in excess of $200,000 in each of the two most recent years (or joint income with your spouse in excess of $300,000 in each of those years) and do you have a reasonable expectation of reaching the same income level in the current year?
If you meet the eligibility criteria, contact the Purdue Research Foundation’s Office of Business Development to inquire about upcoming Technology Roadshows – part of the Purdue Research Foundation’s award-winning Businessmaker Process™ in which foundation representatives travel the state to actively market the available technologies to groups of interested entrepreneurs and investors.
