Big Ten Short Stories

For every touchdown pass, goal, dunk, spike, kick-save, pin or home run you see on the screen, there is an untold story about the people who made these memorable plays possible.

Going behind the scenes and beyond the highlight reels, we will bring you features on the people and places that make the Big Ten Conference special. Whether it's a feature on an amazing student-athlete, retired coach, or a fabled arena, this is the show tells their story.
 
SEASON 1
Episode 1: TK

Episode 2:  Features include: the relationship between Indiana quarterback Kellen Lewis and his favorite target, wide receiver James Hardy, Purdue quarterback Curtis Painter tells us about his unique weightlifting regimen, Ohio State star Lara Dickenmann and her long journey to success on the pitch, and an all-access pass with two Big Ten football coaches at practice. Episode 3: Features include: Ohio State wide receiver Brian Robiskie and the special relationship he has with his father, Purdue's Felicia Schroeder (who lost her hearing at a young age, but still plays soccer), a look at Wisconsin's women's volleyball team and their European trip this past summer, and the inspiring story of special spectators – an organization that partners with several big ten schools to bring seriously ill children to collegiate sporting events
     
Episode 4: Features include: Illinois linebacker J Leman and his peculiar eating habits, Penn State coach Coquese Washington, Justin Pines (who had the rare chance this fall to be a two-sport athlete – on the same day), the "definition" of a big ten basketball player, and a practice with Wisconsin's women's basketball team. 

Episode 5: Featured in this edition of Big Ten Short Stories: Ohio State kicker Ryan Pretorius – and his fascinating journey to Columbus from South Africa and an interview with Jane Hoeppner – the wife of late Indiana football coach Terry Hoeppner.

Episode 6: Featured in this edition of Big Ten Short Stories: Minnesota point guard Emily Fox – and her amazing sport stacking ability and a feature on Kevin Coble – Northwestern's leading scorer who sat out the first semester this fall to help his ailing mother battle cancer.
     
Episode 7: Featured in this episode: Black History Month feature on the three African-American women's head basketball coaches in Big Ten, a day in the Life with NU wrestler Dustin Fox, a feature on how Michael Phelps (Olympic Champ) is a volunteer head coach for Michigan swimming and a feature on Minnesota hockey player Mike Howe and his special relationship with a young Gopher fan
Episode 8: TK Episode 9: Jim Abbott: The Michigan Years, NU Women's Lacrosse Wired up, Michigan Softball Wired up, a Joe Girardi featurem and a Greg Oden and Mike Conley feature.
