Quail Unlimited programs are making a positive impact at all levels, from local to national. Since its inception in 1981, Quail Unlimited has become known as "America's Leader in Quail Conservation". For a list of accomplishments by the local chapters just in the last five years, please click here.
In addition to helping targeted quail species, Quail Unlimited chapter projects also benefit deer, turkey, rabbits, songbirds and a host of other species. Funds raised by local chapters are primarily used for local habitat projects. Funds are also used for youth days, landowner workshops and research projects. Quail Unlimited chapters work in close association with their local, state and national wildlife and federal farm agencies.
Despite a growing awareness of the importance of preserving and improving upland game habitat, more and more of this habitat is lost each year. Recent provisions in Federal Farm Bill legislation have created new opportunities for habitat improvements on farms and ranches across the country. An increased emphasis on quail by many state wildlife agencies has also rekindled the interest in quail management and provides new opportunities.
