Description. PLANT TYPE describes a broad generalization of types of plants based upon whether a plant is raised under controlled conditions.

CDER Specifications. PLANT TYPE shall consist of an alphanumeric term which has a maximum length restricted to 60 characters, and a corresponding alphanumeric code with a maximum length of 1 character.
