LINCICOME: Bowlen looked like one who got fired

January 1, 2009

What came to mind as Denver Broncos owner Pat Bowlen rolled around in his own confusion about just why this had to happen is that he was the one being fired. Mike Shanahan was clear-eyed and chipper, disembarking a leaky boat while Bowlen is left to plug the holes.

LINCICOME: 'New direction' or bust for Broncos

December 30, 2008

Mike Shanahan will coach again, and soon, if that is what he wants to do. There is no hard landing for someone who has won two Super Bowls.
