Bullying
"Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names can never hurt me." Too bad this saying isn't true. If you've ever been the target of harsh and unkind words, you know how hurtful it can be. But did you know that repeated teasing is a form of bullying? This section of girlshealth.gov gives the low-down on bullying among girls, which is more common than you might think.
You can learn about:
- The different ways girls bully and the long-lasting hurt it can cause
- The reasons girls bully
- Why some girls are bullied more than others
- How being a bully can hurt you, too
- Ways you can protect yourself and others from bullying
You can help put a stop to bullying in your school and where you live by becoming informed. Also, tell your friends about this site and agree together to not bully.
