The U.S. Commercial Service in Lebanon provides the following services: Michele Sison

  • Counsels U.S. companies on market opportunities, regulations and ways of doing business in Lebanon.
  • Assists Lebanese companies in identifying U.S. suppliers of products and services.
  • Assists U.S. companies in identifying Lebanese agents and representatives for their products and services.
  • Conducts market research for U.S. companies.
  • Recruits Lebanese delegations to attend trade shows in the U.S.
  • Organizes trade fairs and seminars in Lebanon to promote U.S. products and services.
  • Identifies major projects and offers support to U.S. companies bidding for these projects.
  • Negotiates with the Lebanese government market access issues and barriers to trade and investment.
  • Mediates and resolves commercial disputes between U.S. and Lebanese companies.

Made in America 2008, October 9-11, 2008

Made in America 2008

The U.S. Embassy’s Commercial Service will host “Made in America 2008” from October 9 through 11, 2008, at the Beirut International Exhibition & Leisure Center (BIEL) in Lebanon. “Made in America” aims to showcase the latest American technology and to assist American businesses in taking advantage of the expanding commercial relations between Lebanon and the United States.

The last “Made in America” trade fair in November 2005 was a great success, featuring the goods and services of over 300 U.S. companies active in a wide variety of sectors, including information and communication technology, environmental technology, healthcare, automotive, construction, household appliances, security, transportation and energy. Over 18,000 visitors attended the fair; major U.S. companies participating included Microsoft, Cisco, IBM, Lucent, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, General Electric, FedEx, Western Union, Chrysler, Coldwell Banker, Expeditors, 3M and Ford. “Made in America” exhibitors reported thousands of promising leads and millions of dollars in new contracts as a direct result of the fair. more...

Lebanon Opportunities 2008

U.S. Commercial Service participated in the “Lebanon Opportunities in Lebanon” 6th annual event at the Emile Lahoud Convention Center, Marina, Dbayeh on June 24 and 25, 2008.

The event includes mulit-track conferences, exhibition and matchmaking services.

U.S. Commercial Service facilitates and MOU between the International Franchise Association (IFA) and the Lebanese Franchise Association (LFA).

April 11-13,2008. During the show the International
Franchise Association (IFA) and the Lebanese
Association (LFA) signed a Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU) to foster international training, data cooperation in collection and sharing of information.
