Battlefield Podcasts Now Available for the Cornfield Trail and the Union Advance Trail

Working with our partner, Civil War Traveler, Antietam National Battlefield has developed two new trail Podcasts. Podcasts are audio files that can be downloaded onto an iPod or mp3 player, then taken to the battlefield for a walking tour.

The podcasts are located on our partner's website. There you will find detailed instructions and battlefield maps to accompany the audio tours. Your tour guide is Park Ranger Keith Snyder.

Battlefield Trail Guides Available for Download

Download a three page trails guide (pdf, 106 kb) that has been formatted to print on letter paper. This guide lists all of the current trails, including the new Bloody Lane and Three Farms Trails that just opened, and a map.

Click here to download a two page Bloody Lane Trail Guide (pdf, 132 kb). This is the newest trail in the park and it is 1.6 miles in length. The trail starts at the visitor center and follows in the footsteps of Union soldiers in their march toward Bloody Lane.

Click here to download a two page Cornfield Trail Guide (pdf, 272 kb). The Cornfield Trail is 1.6 miles in length and starts at Auto Tour Stop 2. A 16-page full color trail guide is available in our bookstore and on-line.

The West Woods Trail (pdf, 245kb) now weaves through the historic woodlot. Start at the park Visitor Center to take this 1.5 mile trail.
