Question: Last month, before the heaviest part of the snow fell and the flooding started, Joe Towner wrote to question the Stevens Pass speed limits posted during stormy conditions: "I drove over U.S. 2 last night, snow and ice on the road, with snow falling. The posted speed limit was 50 -- a speed I would find dangerous for the conditions. I remember the same thing happening last winter, where the sign wasn't showing a reasonable speed for the idiots who think that just because they have four-wheel drive they can do anything.
