P-I columnist? It was a dream job while it lasted
Jim Moore: My parents subscribed to the P-I when I was growing up in the '60s and '70s in Redmond, so it became my paper of choice. I idolized Royal Brougham and John Owen and dreamt of working there. That's what I remember most about my first day at the P-I in 1982 -- the thrill of being in the same office with Owen.
