RedLAC signed a contract, through its member the Brazilian Biodiversity Fund (Funbio), with the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, which is financing a monitoring system to track information about public and private investments in the Andes-Amazon region.
This initiative is a partnership between ten funds from RedLAC that support projects in the region. They will feed the database with information of their own and from other players.
The first version of the system should be launched at the end of 2008, to be used and evaluated first by environmental funds. |
