Instrument Mentor Monthly Summary (IMMS) Reporting System

The Instrument Mentor Monthly Summary reports address several purposes:

Data and Instrument Status Review

Data Review -- to provide a review of the data oriented to the general scientific user. The review discusses notable events and their effects on the data , e.g., atmospheric conditions, instrument problems, instrument modifications or sensor changes, calibration updates, and periods when the instrument was out of service. (These reviews will be linked to the instrument web pages.)

Performance Issues and Trends -- to identify near-term issues and long-term trends that may indicate the need for additional spare parts, instrument modification, upgrade, or replacement. This guidance is necessary for budget planning.

Instrument Mentor Status

Current Tasks -- to summarize progress to date on tasks currently assigned to the mentor.

Near-Term Plans -- to indicate planned mentor efforts in the near future.

Accomplishments -- to call attention to completed tasks and other notable accomplishments.

Mentor Issues -- to call attention to issues that impact the mentor's performance, especially budget concerns or schedule conflicts.
