The Center for Veterinary Medicine has completed its studies to determine whether pentobarbital is present in dog foods, and, if so, what safety risk that may present to dogs. The Center's researchers have concluded that the low levels of exposure to pentobarbital that dogs might receive through food is unlikely to cause them any adverse health effects.
