Pavement Design and Performance Modeling

FHWA's Pavement Design and Performance Modeling research is concerned with all aspects of pavement design and performance assessment and prediction technology. This includes pavement analysis and structural design (particularly mechanistic-empirical design), and the evaluation of the role of asphalt, concrete, and unbound materials in pavement performance. It also includes the effects of construction processes, procedures and specifications, and pavement evaluation, repair, and rehabilitation on pavement performance.
