Quiz: Do I have PCOS?

Young women with PCOS usually have certain symptoms. The following quiz was created to help young women determine if they might have PCOS. This quiz is designed as an educational tool and is not a substitute for medical advice from your doctor. Answer the questions in each section and check your score.

Irregular periods

  1. My periods come about every two to three months or less often.

  2. I get my period every two to three weeks.

Acne and other skin problems

  1. My acne is pretty bad.

  2. I have darker patches of skin on the back of my neck.

  3. I have darker patches of skin in the area under my arms.

  4. I have darker patches of skin in my inner thigh area.

Hair

  1. I've noticed I have dark hair above my lip—like a mustache.

  2. I have extra dark hair in other places—my chin, neck, or chest area.

  3. The hair on my head feels like it's getting thin.

Weight

  1. It seems like I suddenly put on a lot of weight.
