Making a Commitment to Parks For Generations to Come

By including the National Parks Conservation Association in your long-term plans, you will help protect the awesome wonder of America’s National Parks for generations to come. There are several approaches to planning the best gift for your situation and way of life.

We welcome the opportunity to show you the potential benefits of making a planned gift to support NPCA’s work. Below is a summary of the gift vehicles we offer.

  • Bequests Make a gift to support the national parks for future generations through your will or living trust.

  • Life Income Gifts(Charitable Gift Annuities)
Make a gift and receive income for life while receiving substantial tax deductions. At the conclusion of the term, the remainder is given to NCPA.

  • Donations of Insurance and Retirement Benefits
Use tax-deferred assets to protect America’s parks.

  • Mather Legacy Society Supporters who have planned special gifts for NPCA through their estates become members of the special recognition group, the Mather Legacy Society. The group is named for Stephen Tyng Mather, the first Director of the National Park Service and a founder of NPCA. Members of the society receive special NPCA park alerts and reports as well as and personalized information.

Your Planned Gift Can Make A Difference Today!

NPCA has served as an effective “citizen watch-dog” organization since 1919, conducting research, analysis and public education to advocate for the critical needs of America’s National Park System. Today, it is leading the charge seeking to increase sorely needed annual operating funds for the parks by one-third of their current level, as well as encouraging our national leaders to substantively address the maintenance backlog of more than $5 billion within the parks. NPCA is also working collaboratively on the issue of clean air in our national parks and with the Great Lakes Coalition to ensure that the national parks and communities around this inland sea will be able to enjoy clean air and clean water for generations to come. With a staff that is uniquely qualified to review and assess park policy, and when necessary, pursue litigation on behalf of the priceless resources found within our national parks, NPCA plays a vital role to ensure that these sacred places will remain unspoiled for all Americans.
