“With great weather and fantastic beaches Station Pensacola is one of the best places to be stationed,” said Petty Officer 1st class Travis Sanders Operations Petty Officer for Station Pensacola.

“Station Pensacola's crew is one of the best I have worked with and they are ‘always ready’ to complete whatever mission is thrown their way.

With one of the smaller AOR's in the Coast Guard, Station Pensacola stays extremely busy with a crew of less than 25 they annually perform more than 150 Search and Rescue cases while logging 800 underway hours.

The station crew conducts law enforcement, search and rescue and environmental protection missions with two 41-foot utility boats, and one 25-foot response boat.
Members stationed in Pensacola stand Port and Starboard duty, two days on two days off with sliding weekends. Members are expected to live on the economy and will receive a housing allowance due to their being no barrack on board; however, Married personnel can elect to live in government quarters provided by NAS Pensacola housing.

The average temperature for Pensacola during the summer months range from 70 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit, with an average low in the winter reaching only 51 degrees Fahrenheit.

The Coast Guard has been serving Pensacola for more than 100 years and continues to be always ready.
