The International Satelite System that detects signals from emergency beacons will cease  monitoring 121.5/243 MHz beacons on 1 February 2009 when the switch away from analog signals takes place. All beacon owners and users should begin taking steps to replace their 121.5/243 MHz beacons with 406 MHz beacons as soon as possible. Find out more.....

Station  LA/LB  maintains  fleet

SAN PEDRO, Calif. -- Petty Officer 3rd Class Giovanni Carlo performs engine maintenance on a 25-foot response boat at Station Los Angeles/Long Beach January 6, 2009. The boats must be in good working order to enable crews to execute their varied missions, including patrolling the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.
