The Atlantic Area External Affairs division provides
coordination and oversight of activities that involve customers and
agencies, both foreign and domestic, which are external to the U.S. Coast
Guard. The Division maintains an awareness of organizational issues,
initiatives, and priorities through frequent alignment sessions with
Division Chiefs and communication with Coast Guard Headquarters’ offices of
Governmental, Public and International Affairs. We develop communications
strategies and provide guidance that ensures consistent protocol and
message. The Division's goal is to educate and inform the public through
closely coordinated programmatic efforts within the Atlantic Area of
Responsibility.
