'Four Stars for Lauren' Benefits Star Critic Lauren Chapin

The untimely loss of Kansas City Star restaurant critic Lauren Chapin left the KC culinary world devastated as were her readers, colleagues, and foodies alike. The culinary community will host the 'Four Stars for Lauren' on Thursday, January 29th which will not only honor her memory, but raise money for Lauren and husband Timothy Finn's two teenage daughters. Over 20 local restaurants are participating and will include culinary delights and drinks from local favorites like blueStem, Le Fou Frog, Jasper's, JJ's, Ophelia's, NoRTH, La Bodega and many more.

Tickets are $50 in advance and a silent auction will also be held.

'H20h!' Opens January 9th at Wonderscope

Wonderscope Children's Museum opens yet another fun and entertaining exhibit for children this Friday. The new exhibit, 'H20h!' obviously deals with all things water to the merriment of children everywhere. It's there that children of all ages may do everything from squirting, splashing, and splishing to making fish prints, navigate boats and even ducks... all while learning the properties of water.

Kansas City Sportshow

The annual Kansas City Sportshow is the official kick-off to all things outdoors and all things Spring. Whilst in the middle of winter, all you need to do is head to Bartle Hall and begin to look forward to warmer weather and enjoying the Missouri Outdoors. From boats and hunting equipment to vacations and indoor fishing, the KC Sportshow is the go-to event for sports enthusiasts and outdoor lovers everywhere.
