he information in
this handbook has been compiled from many sources. We sincerely
appreciate the time and effort that everyone spent preparing and
reviewing this material. Many of the past authors and contributors have
been identified in the 2004 PNW Plant Disease Management handbook, our 50th edition.
Our attempt here is to identify all
individuals who worked on the 2008 version of the PNW Plant
Disease Management Handbook whether their
effort was great or small. Those acknowledged as authors or contributors
have
written completely new sections or conducted major rewrites of existing
sections. Reviewers helped read through and verify the existing information.
Special thanks go to Andrea Dailey, managing editor for the PNW handbooks, who was involved with copyediting,
administration, and desktop publishing. Her skills and experience are
highly valued for producing this book each year. It is always a pleasure
to work with her. Also to Erik Ackerson for his skill in copyediting and desktop publishing.
Programming of the online guide was done by Eric T. Peterson. The
introductory page layout, masthead and buttons were designed by Pam Van London of Be Proactive! Additional
programming and maintenance of this website has been by
Bryan Capitano of
Capitano NetSolutions, Inc.
Finally, a personal acknowledgment from Jay
to his family: Jacob, keep up the good work in school. 2.5 hours down and 47.5 more to go. Lucas, you also keep up the good work in school and on your teeth. Remember, I love you both. Lori, I still miss you a lot. Smashed potatoes and no gravy.
