Industry
Government
The
meat industry is on of the most heavily regulated in the
United States. It must operate under a maze of laws and
regulations set by a variety of agencies. Links
to some of the most common government agencies that effect
the meat industry are located here.
National
Associations
There
are a variety of national associations that associate
with issues that effect the meat industry. Although
most are not AAMP affiliated members and are not solely
involved with the meat industry, their websites may contain
useful information that you can utilize in your business.

AAMP
has compiled a list of Universities that have a Food

Publications
A
variety of publications are available that pertain to
the meat industry. Most of these publications are
free and some can email daily news directly to you.
AAMP also sells publications that are produced throughout
the year.
Recalls
A website
has been provided as a better service in alerting the
American people to unsafe, hazardous or defective products.
Six federal agencies with vastly different jurisdictions
have joined together to create www.recalls.gov -- a "one
stop shop" for U.S. Government recalls.

Association Council (MAC)
The Meat
Association Council (MAC) was established by major national,
regional, state and related meat industry trade associations.
MAC was founded to provide a forum for the various meat
trade organizations to identify both current and emerging
critical issues and establish industry positions on them.
