SEER advances the EIC Model (using the Environment as an Integrating Context for learning). The model employs natural and socio-cultural environments as the context for learning while taking into account the "best practices" of successful inservice, preservice, formal and nonformal educators. This was created for Yosemite's Education office. It replaces a book that local teachers could use to take students on a field trip to the park. Targeted to grades 4-6, it contains interactive maps, a Field Journal, and a virtual hike. Signature certification is awarded only to new developments that are designed, constructed and maintained according to Audubon International’s precise planning standards and environmental disciplines. Conserve School, located in northeastern Wisconsin near the town of Land O’ Lakes, is a private, non-sectarian college preparatory boarding school for grades 9-12.
