Regular Membership | Corresponding Membership

Over 20,000 individuals in 155 countries
are members of the International Society for Infectious Diseases.
They share an interest in infectious diseases and the recognition
of the value of scientific exchange that crosses all borders. There
are two types of membership: Regular and Corresponding. |
|
Any individual interested in infectious
diseases may become a regular member of the Society. You may become
a regular member by paying the membership fee of $150 USD. The term
of membership is one year. Membership is available for individuals
who work and reside in low resource countries, or for students, for
$50 USD/year.

Connection with Infectious Disease Research and Activities Around
the World
- A 1-year subscription to the International
Journal of Infectious Diseases
- Discounts at the International Congress
on Infectious Diseases (ICID), the Society's biennial meeting
that brings together over 3,000 persons from over 100 countries
to discuss the latest developments in infectious diseases and
microbiology
- The Society's newsletter ISID
NEWS which provides updates on ISID programs, meetings, and
other activities
- Subscription to ProMED-mail,
an e-mail network providing up-to-date, reliable reports on infectious
diseases outbreaks around the world

Corresponding membership in the Society
is available without charge through application to the Society. This
type of membership includes all of the benefits of regular membership,
except for the Journal and discounts at the ICID.
Members from low-resource countries who have an abstract accepted
at the ICID are eligible to apply for reduced or waived registration
fees. The Program Committee determines reduction or waiver of the
registration fee for the ICID. Members interested in having the registration
fee for the ICID reduced or waived should apply in writing to the
Program Committee upon notification of an accepted abstract.
