COEEA supports naturalists, classroom teachers, youth group leaders, and other educators as they promote responsible environmental stewardship. It offers a newsletter, workshops, and conferences and collaborates with the New England EE Alliance and NAAEE.

Ferry Beach Ecology School is a residential environmental education center on the southern coast of Maine. During the Spring and Fall terms, FBES offers 3, 4 and 5 day residential programs, as well as day programs and outreach programs to public and private schools. (3rd through 8th grades).

3rd Promise of Place Conference: Place-based Education in the Northern Forest is for educators, administrators, resource experts and policy makers from Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and New York, to gather in support of place-based education. Students in this concentration take the core courses in the Integrated Learning program and take a set of courses that focus on developing ecological literacy. They complete one classroom internship and another internship with a science or environmental teaching focus. Graduates are eligible for elementary teaching certification in New Hampshire.
