Population Reference Bureau - Grades 6-12 Educational Materials    
A dozen publications including activity guides, wall charts, and handbooks on population issues. Two lesson plans and several articles can be viewed on the site and downloaded in PDF format, others can be ordered online. EDC's Earth Education Partnership Program promotes sustainable development education in high schools. Programs and materials include

World in the Balance    
“World in the Balance,” the companion Web site to NOVA’s Earth Day special, features educational resources on population and the environment. Produced by WGBH, “World in the Balance” offers interactive population maps, classroom role plays, and activities including a population growth calculation, a global trends quiz, and a demographic matching game.

Population Environment Research Network    
The site contains a large, annotated database of population and environment related links (inlcuding syllabi), hosts cyberseminars, produces a bi-weekly What's New with publications of note, has a searchable memberdatabase with our 500 members from around the world. Would definately be useful for teachers in high school, and for high-school students.

People and the Planet: Lessons for a Sustainable Future

Exploring the Environment (ETE) Grades 9-12 Learning Modules      
ETE is a series of interdisciplinary, problem-based learning modules for high school students (online). The project engages student teams in addressing real-world problems related to weather, population growth, biodiversity, land use patterns, volcanoes, water pollution, and global warming. Teams analyze remotely-sensed images to come up with solutions to open-ended earth science problems.
