The Mississippi Environmental Education Alliance is home to those interested in environmental education. We gather annually to learn about nature study, share our favorite lesson plans and adventures and advance the excitement that is EE in Mississippi. MEEA has forged outstanding relationships among the various agencies, schools, and organizations in Mississippi that have similar purposes. MEEA also jointly publishes a newsletter with the Mississippi Native Plant Society, available on the Web site and subscription.

The Black Bear Conservation Committee (BBCC) is a non-profit group working to restore the Louisiana black bear, a threatened subspecies protected under the Endangered Species Act.
