    Features of electronic access include:

    • Journals are always available online; 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
    • There are no passwords to remember! – Users are authenticated by the IP address range pre-registered with Haworth by their library.
    • Articles are easily downloadable, easy to bookmark, and easily searchable!

    To further facilitate accessibility of our journals, we have made arrangements with the leading online services and aggregators.

    How to Register for Electronic Access to your Journal
    1. Please be sure that your institution has a paid print subscription to the journal(s) for which you are requesting electronic access.

    2. In order to view our online journals, you must have Acrobat Reader , which is available for free from Adobe’s website; if you don’t currently have this program on your computer, go to http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html to download a FREE copy. Our online journals are in PDF format, a technology developed by Adobe.

    3. Go to http://www.HaworthPress.com/pdfs/IPRangeForm.pdf , complete our IP Range form with all required information and submit online. Please be sure to contact your network administrator for your valid IP Range before submitting your completed form.

    How To Access Your Journals Once Registered

    Your library may access Haworth’s electronic journals by either method:
    1. To access via IP authentication, place the following link on your library’s website and use this link to enter the Haworth Gateway to your online journals:

    http://www.haworthpress.com/store/E-Text/viewlibraryetext.asp

    2.If you would like to create URLs specific to your titles and place each separate link on your library's
    website, see below for further instructions.


    How To Link To Individual Journal Titles
    Once registered, you can link to specific titles using the formula below (the text in red are the variables):

    For example, to link to Journal of Homosexuality:

    How To Link To Individual Journal Volumes
    You can link to specific volumes using the formula below (the text in red are the variables):

    Frequently Asked Questions

    1. I can’t view the page, what can I check?

  • You are using Internet Explorer 7.0 or above for optimal viewing.

  • You have Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0 or above.

  • Try refreshing your page by holding down the control key while pressing refresh on your keyboard.


  • 2. I enter my username and password, and I come back to a log on page, or, it indicates my username and password are already in use.
    You must delete your ‘cookies’ - see your browser’s help files for specific instructions.

    3. I can’t view all the back volumes in my subscription. Back volumes are available electronically for the previous issues in your subscription period only, up to the last 3 volumes (3 years). Any additional back volumes in your subscription will become available as they are digitized. New subscribers can access the volume(s) currently in their subscription.
    Please check regularly for any missing electronic back volumes in your subscription, because archival access is continually expanding as our digitization process proceeds.
