Mountain West IPM Network Quick Links: What is the Mountain West IPM Network? The Mountain West IPM Network, with funding from the Western Integrated Pest Management Center, provides a mechanism for effective communication between government agencies, the agricultural community and other interested stakeholders. The Mountain West IPM Network is part of the network of USDA’s partner institutions, authorized by Section 408 of the Agricultural Research, Extension, and Education Reform Act of 1998. The Mountain West is part of the Western Integrated Pest Management Center in order to provide information, prioritize and coordinate pest management research, extension and educational programs and respond to the informational needs of the public and private sectors on a regional basis. The Western Integrated Pest Management Center is one of four centers in a national network established to strengthen USDA's connection with production agriculture, research and extension programs, and agricultural stakeholders throughout the United States.
