On 22 October the ICES Council unanimously approved the Science Plan and the proposal for the reform of the ICES Science Programme. The Consultative Committee (ConC) will be renamed “Science Committtee (SciCom)” and the first Chair will be Serge Labonté (Canada), who was elected for a one-year term. The new SciCom will meet early January at ICES. Read more about the mandate, function and membership here.
