The Harney County Cultural Coalition is now accepting
Grant Applications for the distribution of $4,500 (FY 06) for multiple grand
awards to citizens and organizations of Harney County.
Harney County Cultural Coalition (HCCC) will accept grant application from
individuals or organizations for projects related to the arts, heritage, and
humanities in Harney County. Grant applications are available online here, at
the Harney County Library and the Harney County Chamber of Commerce.
Grant funding will be considered for applications that promote awareness of
Harney County’s arts, heritage, and humanities resources, unique opportunities,
and events; coordinate the development of Harney County’s arts, heritage, and
humanities communities to stimulate cultural and economic vitality; aid in the
creation and promotion of a venue for arts, heritage, and humanities events;
include and inspire youth participation in all things art, heritage, and
humanities; promote, sustain, and facilitate arts, heritage, and humanities
leadership; support the excellence of current and future arts, humanities, and
heritage endeavors; and/or encourage financial investment in the arts,
humanities, and heritage of Harney County.
Expected criteria from grant funding will be 1) provide to the Harney County
Cultural Coalition Board of Directors a written report on the utilization of
grant funds and the success of the proposed program implemented within one year
from receipt of grant finding; and 2) identify the source of grant funds through
use of Cultural Trust logos and titles in all published program media. The HCCC
Board of Directors will review applications at the end of November and announce the awards
in the Burns Times Herald
December 6, 2006 issue.
