Chief Business Office: Who Are We?

Mission: The VHA Chief Business Office provides national leadership for advancing business practices that support patient care and delivery of health benefits.

Vision: The CBO will lead the transformation of VHA business practices and health benefits policy to support the delivery of quality health care by:

• Continually improving and implementing consistent business practices that become benchmarks for the public and private sectors;
• Promoting and enabling the delivery of timely, accurate, accessible health benefits;
• Delivering accurate, responsive and respectful customer service;
• Cultivating a dedicated workforce of highly skilled employees who understand, believe in and take pride in VA’s mission;
• Enabling an agile organization that consistently responds to a dynamic health care environment and
• Fostering collaborative relationships with partners and stakeholders.
